Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Water & Wastewater Treatment Facilities)

Location: Alto, GA
Division: MPE Services
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Overview: MPE Services, a division of Engineering Management, Inc., is seeking a hardworking and professional Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position requires a dedicated individual with experience in maintaining municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities, including pump stations, lift stations, distribution systems, water tank storage, and collection systems. We are looking for candidates with either a licensed electrician background or at least two years of hands-on experience in these fields.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, lift stations, and water distribution systems.

  • Service and maintain water tank storage systems and collection systems for municipal, commercial, and industrial clients.

  • Ensure all systems and equipment meet operational standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions, including electrical and mechanical issues.

  • Conduct inspections and routine maintenance tasks on systems and machinery to ensure optimal performance.

  • Work closely with other team members and contractors to complete maintenance projects on time and within budget.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and submit reports to the management team.

  • Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and environmental guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or degree preferred.

  • Licensed electrician with experience in municipal water and wastewater systems OR at least two years of experience in water/wastewater maintenance, pump stations, or related fields.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, pumps, motors, valves, and water distribution systems.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.

  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to various work sites as needed.

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and perform tasks requiring physical strength and stamina.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or after-hours emergency calls, as required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with automated control systems and SCADA systems.

  • Familiarity with safety and regulatory compliance related to municipal water and wastewater systems.
